A mini theater behind Nagoya station founded by Koji Wakamatsu, the movie director.
"Cinema Skhole" was founded by Koji Wakamatsu, the movie director who had passed away in 1983. As it puts a poster of its slogan, "Enter the Indies(a parody of Enter the Dragon)", this theater is heated.
It mainly shows entertaining Asian, Japanese and Indie films though on the other side it shows great variety of films such as social documentaries and war films. Cinema Skhhole is also a distributing agency, which is an uncommon feature as a theater. Not so many people knows but Cinema Skhole is the only mini theater capable of showing 3-D movies in Nagoya.
The theater frequently holds events and greetings from the stage though Cinema Skhole doesn't hesitate to accept Yuru-Characters and concerts so many movie directors confess to be a fan of such broad-minded Cinema Skhole. As it's named "School" in Spanish, we could possibly learn something from Cinema Skhole.
